Sale of Trusted Positioning Inc. to NYSE-listed company a vote of confidence in Calgary tech sector

The University of Calgary is celebrating a big win following the sale of a company from their Department of Geomatics.  InvenSense, a technology leader in the U.S., has acquired Trusted Positioning (TPI) for US$36 million.

InvenSense is a high level sensor technology company that is currently listed on the New York Stock Exchange. This marks a huge accomplishment not only for the company’s founders, but also for the University and the future of the high-tech industry in Southern Alberta.
